Have you been looking at treadmills for and can't figure out why the prices are so different? Try making a chart that shows treadmill price comparisons to compare features.

You need to ask yourself why that treadmill is so inexpensive or pricey. Are you considering a hundred dollar treadmill from your local super store? If so then be prepared for a cheap model that is probably going to be manual. If it turns out to be electric the engine will not be high quality and will likely break down. You may have jerky starts and stops, or any other number of problems. Your treadmill will likely be a bare basic model without any frills or modern conveniences.

If the treadmill you are looking at is super expensive, what brand is it? If it is a well know quality brand then you are probably buying a good reliable treadmill. Is it coming with extras such as an mp3 player dock and speakers, a fan built in, a 1 touch screen, or a digital console? Maybe it is commercial quality.

You can get a remanufactured treadmill cheaper than if you bought it brand new. This avenue is one worth considering. You might be able to find a high quality treadmill for the price of those cheaper models. Usually remanufactured treadmills are just as good as the ones that are sold new. They have been inspected and anything broken on them has been fixed.

Sometimes an inexpensive treadmill ends up costing you a lot more in the long run. When you have to replace the motor and the belt sooner than you expected you may have saved money by going with a better more reliable model. Some of the smaller unknown companies may not even sell replacement parts. In this case you just lost money that you can never get back.

What kind of warranty comes with each treadmill? A lifetime warranty would be fantastic. Warranties for 5 or 10 years shows you that the company stand behind their product. If a warranty is not included at all you should take as step back and ask yourself why.

How long have the treadmills been for sale? If they were brand new and just introduced they will be more expensive. Last years model should be cheaper as they will want to sell them so they can make room for the newer models.

Now that you are making a chart to show your treadmill price compare it should start making sense. You will see that the cheapest models are very basic while the more expensive models have more conveniences and better technology. It should now be easy for you to pick the best treadmill in your price range.
