Former The Spinners singer Bobbie Smith has died at the age of 76.

Former The Spinners singer Bobbie Smith has died at the age of 76. The That's What Girls Are Made For hitmaker passed away on Saturday due to complications from pneumonia and influenza. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer late last year. Smith was the soul group's original lead singer and he also featured on the hits I'll Be Around, Could It Be I'm Falling in Love and Games People Play. He and band founder Henry Fambrough never stopped touring as The Spinners and were still on the road last year with new bandmates Charleton Washington, Jessie Peck and Marvin Taylor.
